Page 4 T he Beta of Clovia Scholarship Fund is valued at just under $200,000, with interest income funding up to $12,000 in annual scholarships. Obviously, in some years we can award more dependent upon how our investments fare. Clovia Legacy Scholarship: The purpose of this $1,000 scholarship is to encourage academic excellence and social development among the members of the Beta Chapter of Clovia Sorority and provide financial assistance to an active chapter member. A Clovia member can be awarded this scholarship once during her collegiate experience. This award is presented once yearly, during fall semester at the annual Founders' Day meeting. Clovia Legacy Scholarship Recipients Hally Frandrup Amara Livingston Linck-Mikesh Award: The alumnae association presents this engraved plaque to an outstanding senior for her leadership and accomplishments in the chapter. All seniors are eligible for this award. Candidates for this award selected by the active chapter are forwarded to the alumnae board for final selection. Linck-Mikesh Award Recipient Megan Meyer Spirit of Clovia Scholarship: This scholarship of $750 is given to members each semester based on academic standing, involvement in the chapter, and the completion of the application form. Recipients must live in the house. The Scholarship Chair serves as liaison to the alumnae association concerning this scholarship. Spirit of Clovia Scholarship Recipients Makayla Moline Fiona Todd Anna Rose Gallagher Biever Service and Leadership Achievement Award: This annual award is given to an active member based on their experiences, character, leadership, and service efforts. This is the alumnae association's most prestigious award, as it honors Anna Rose Gallagher Biever, a founding member and lifelong Clovia advocate. It recognizes those Clovia women who most demonstrate personal growth and potential for the future of Clovia and the world. Anna Rose Gallagher Biever Service and Leadership Scholarship Recipient Aina Perez New Student Scholarship: This is awarded to a new student, regardless of whether or not they join Clovia. In 2024, we added a second $1,000 scholarship thanks to the fundraising efforts of Julie Drechsler, who passionately campaigned for adding it. Julie singlehandedly raised $1,300 to supplement the Scholarship Endowment Fund, fully covering the second scholarship. We Remember Our Sisters and Friends of Clovia A s Spring semester unfolds, we're excited to share all the incredible happenings within our sisterhood, from our latest philanthropic achievements to the unforgettable memories made at recent events! Together, we've been working hard to uphold our values, strengthen our bond, and make a lasting impact both on campus and in our community. We ended Fall semester by welcoming 10 lovely ladies into our sisterhood. They come from unique backgrounds and bring new talent and perspectives into our chapter. The new ladies bring in a wide variety of majors including Accounting, Ag Food and Business Management, Animal Science, Ag Communications and Marketing, Biology, International Business, Physiology, and Kinesiology. We are so excited to see what they accomplish. This fall, 17 girls made the dean's list, and the chapter averaged a 3.63 GPA! Clovia also found leadership roles in numerous clubs and success on the general livestock and dairy judging floor. As we headed into the colder months, Clovia hosted our semester philanthropy event. Chicken Poop Bingo was a resounding success, selling 109 squares and raising almost $1,500! With the money we were able to purchase supplies for 20 care backpacks to donate to Foster Adopt Minnesota. We want to sincerely thank all the alumni, families, friends, and the St. Paul community who helped make this philanthropy project a success. Wrapping up the semester we had our biannual Pot of Gold game with LDPhi, attended numerous holiday dinners and exchanges, hosted a Beta Boy Event, and held elections. While being so busy we always remembered to share time with one another whether it was going on little dates or giggling in the chapter room. Our commitment to academic excellence, leadership, and making the best better has been unwavering. Clovia Love, Morgan Pickett Worthy Beta
