PAGE 4 Theta Chi W e have 27 undergraduates living in the chapter house this semester, and spring rent payments are rolling in. The brothers are taking good care of the house, which keeps our expenses down. We are saving over $200 per month on internet by changing our carrier to Google. We will also see lower property taxes in 2025-26 due to our efforts last year to reduce the assessed value of our home. We have done a good job of managing expenses, but inflation is real and felt in our purchases of supplies and services. We have raised rent in the past couple of years but need to make sure we are not more expensive than campus housing. We received our annual grant from the Helping Hand Foundation in January for approximately $36,000. This grant is critical for the ongoing financial health of the ΘX Building Corporation. Additionally, our donation account continues to grow due to pledges and payments by our committed alumni brothers, to whom we are extremely grateful. Due to these donations and our annual grant from the Helping Hand Foundation, we are back in the black this past fiscal year after several years in the red. We are working hard to get to a place of financial stability with the Secure the Future campaign. Paying off the mortgage and establishing a fund for emergencies and aging equipment is within sight and gets us closer to making sure Gamma Tau not only survives but thrives! Doing Right by Our Brothers INCREASE INCREASE TOTAL MEMBERSHIP • Create comprehensive recruitment planning. • Emphasize a recruitment mindset. • Outperform the previous year's recruitment numbers. IMPROVE IMPROVE MEMBERSHIP ENGAGEMENT • Many brothers have extremely demanding schedules, leading to high burnout rates. • We are brainstorming more engaging events to combat this and draw in brothers who might not otherwise attend. MAINTAIN EMPHASIS MAINTAIN EMPHASIS ON PHILANTHROPY, COMMUNITY SERVICE, AND ACADEMICS • Achieve a chapter GPA above the all-men's and -fraternity averages for the third-straight semester. • Continue to prioritize community service and philanthropy. • Continue to discuss these topics at weekly chapter meetings.
