We are determined to complete the renovation journey that began in spring 2024, but we still need your help, especially if you're a first-time donor, to cross the finish line. CONSTRUCTION UPDATES Thanks to fortunately warm weather in December, we were able to install new windows donated by Doug Cook '89.5 and his company, Feldco Windows. New furniture has also been selected for member suites that will allow for interchangeable room layouts and will provide quality living spaces for our undergraduates. Lead architect Chuck Bleck '90.5 devised a plan to reintroduce the house's grand staircase that was removed during the 1985 renovation due to fire-code concerns. His new idea meets current regulations while retaining the vintage look and incorporating a touch of Delta Upsilon flair in the first-floor railing design. FUNDRAISING EFFORTS Generous alumni have helped us raise more than $3.5 million for the Honoring the Past, Building for the Next Century campaign, but it will take a collective effort with every alumnus giving what they can for this historic chapter in our brotherhood's history to reach our $4 million goal. If you have yet to contribute or can add to your existing gift, please consider scanning the QR code to give online at duillinois.causevox.com. Fraternally, ALUMNI ENGAGEMENT The DU Fundraising Committee would like to thank brother Andrew Honegger '91 from Morton Community Bank, who was instrumental in providing our construction loan that has enabled our Chapter renovation. We would also like to thank attorney John Locallo '81, who helped connect us with excellent legal counsel to review our loan documents. This is truly brotherhood in action! Additionally, a group of DU alumni strengthened their fraternal bonds by attending the Illinois vs. Oregon football game this season in Eugene, Oregon (pictured on the left).
