Updates from California Alpha
Our mentors are supporting new brothers in three ways:
• Mentoring the executive board. We aim to help the chapter achieve
(or exceed!) their goals.
• Helping with life-skills presentations (e.g., personal finances,
networking, time management, etc.).
• Providing career guidance and internship support.
If you would like to help mentor in any capacity, please contact AVC
Director of Chapter Operations Matt Bunch '05 at matt.bunch@sigep.net.
As the chapter is in building mode, we will be using funds from the AVC's
accounts in the SigEp Educational Foundation for special activities this spring like
a brotherhood retreat. If you would like to provide tax-deductible financial support,
please consider scanning the QR code to give online at tinyurl.com/support-cal-alpha.
We appreciate the generosity of all our alumni donors, including
Frank Isola '68, whose name was mistakenly omitted in our last issue, and our
more recent donors, Mike Green '62 and Terry Durea '69. We also appreciate
the brothers who gave to the national fraternity's Founders Day of Giving to
support the leadership programs our new brothers will enjoy. Due to a call center
orchestrated by the chapter and VP of Programming TJ Martinez '28, Cal came in
at #16 in number of donors (53)!
Want to Help
SigEp at Cal?
W
e are excited to unveil a new vision
for Sigma Phi Epsilon: Raise Your
Bar, our strategic plan that sets a bold
vision for Sigma Phi Epsilon. This initiative
is designed for every SigEp and invites
every member—undergraduates, alumni,
parents, and donors—to unite in our mission
of Building Balanced Men. Within the plan
is a call to action: to reclaim our title as
the largest and best fraternity on every
campus we plant the SigEp flag. Through
increased volunteer support and financial
investment at SigEp at Cal, we will create
vital development opportunities that foster
growth for future generations.
The plan challenges us to meet the needs
of this and future generations of young
men with development opportunities
essential to success. This collective effort
will strengthen our brotherhood and create
lasting leadership and personal growth
opportunities like never before. Let's work
hand in hand to elevate our fraternity to
new heights and inspire future generations
to carry the SigEp legacy forward. Your
commitment and involvement are essential
to this mission!
