Fa 2024 recruitment was an incredible sue! We had four recruitment rounds, and they went as seamlessly as we could have hoped. The class of 2023 did a phenomenal job recruiting for the first time, and we are proud to welcome our amazing MC '24, which includes 46 incredible new members. To top it off, we enjoyed a magical Bid Day with our Once Upon a Bid theme. The new members had an absolute blast, and it was an unforgettable experience for all! New members Hannah and Lucy Hittle don tiaras during Once Upon a Bid. A lpha Tau Alpha has been the local alumnae chapter to Alpha Chi Omega-affiliated women in the Lafayette area for much of the last century, providing connection, fun and sisterly bonds to one another in the years after college. For years, ATA has also worked closely with the Purdue chapter, Alpha Beta, and Lafayette's YWCA, a beneficiary of Alpha Beta's philanthropy efforts to support victims of domestic violence. This summer, the chapter was presented with an opportunity to reimagine Alpha Tau Alpha by adding a virtual component for all Alpha Beta alumnae. Including Alpha Beta alumnae, regardless of their geographical location, into ATA felt like the right move. We believe streamlining our efforts toward the chapter house and domestic violence awareness will make ATA stronger. I know from conversations with many of you that there is a strong desire to reconnect to the chapter and with one another! We have great plans and a lot of energy for Alpha Tau Alpha. We aim to connect and support the undergraduate women, to share our talents and wisdom with one another, to continue to learn and grow together despite the years away from college and our time at the chapter house and, of course, have a lot of fun. Please, if you have not already done so, join us! It's as simple as sending your information and $35 dues to Kristin Stolz '86, ATA's treasurer. Her email is 851treasurer@gmail.com and Venmo username is @Kristin-Stolz. (Look for the picture of Kristin and her husband in Boilermaker gear at a Purdue game; if it requests the last 4 digits of her number, enter 3430.) Looking ahead into 2025, Alpha Tau Alpha has a full calendar! Members can expect in-person social and volunteer events as well as virtual calls and an active, private Facebook group. We are eager to celebrate the arts in February for MacDowell Month, cheer on the Boilermakers, support Alpha Beta, and grow our relationship with the YWCA. If you have any questions, know I am always available. And if this sounds great and you want to get involved even further, we are looking to form a leadership team—I'd love to chat! On behalf of all of us in Alpha Tau Alpha, we are so looking forward to reconnecting and growing with you.
