Page 3 "I'm hopeful for the Chapter and have big ambitions for the new members and other PNMs we get this year." –Russell Nicodemus '27, Chaplain "I underestimated the workload of being an exec for a Fraternity. It's been difficult and exhausting but tremendously worth the effort. The skills and experience I'm gaining are priceless, and to see it hopefully pay off is something I look forward to." –Christian Serrano '26, 2024 VPMD "As I take this new leadership position, I hope to bring determination and growth to this Chapter. I understand that there will be challenges and struggles, but I'm up to face them all." –Titus Lee '27, 2024 VPC O regon Beta has seen significant changes since our last newsletter. Firstly, we elected a new executive board before the summer to have an extra pair of hands while setting up for fall recruitment. We also got a new regional director—Dan Bordenkircher, Ohio State '23—who has brought a work hard, play hard attitude. This summer, Brothers Joey Barbey '26, Enoch Elumba '26 and myself attended the 25th anniversary of the Ruck Leadership Conference. Each had a unique experience meeting other SigEps nationwide and sharpening their leadership skills. We also held a fruitful spring retreat in La Pine, Oregon, where brothers connected on a deeper level over Memorial Day weekend. Starting this fall, Oregon Beta partnered with Food for Western Lane County as one of our philanthropies. They have programs such as shelters, meal sites, rehabilitation centers, food boxes, and more. Our Chapter is proud to make a difference in our local communities. Lastly, I want to thank our new advisors along with all the alumni who have supported Oregon Beta throughout this "relaunch" phase. We can't wait to share our future Chapter House with you!
