PENINSULAR CHAPTER OF ALPHA DELTA PHI FRATERNITY • FALL 2024 The Peninsular GOLF AND CAMARADERIE Approximately 70 golfers braved the chilly (but dry) weather on April 20 for the ninth annual Alpha Delta Phi Alumni-Active Golf Tournament. Congrats to the winning pairings (no tiebreaker), group 1: Chris Cornwall '85, Andrew Cornwall '18, Alex Futter '26, and Matthew Greenbaum '25 and group 2: Chris Evans '98, Matt Ickes '97, Andrew Inda '25, and Sam Brown '25—who received a bottle of whiskey, and more importantly, their names etched on the trophy. Thank you to Chris Cornwall '85 for organizing the outing, Dean Melonides '22 for organizing hole/buffet sponsorships, and of course, everyone who attended the outing and helped support it via sponsorships. The 10th annual tournament is tentatively penciled in for April 26 to avoid conflict with Easter and hopefully get some warmer temperatures. Look for communication at the end of 2024. For those who have never attended, golfing is not required—this is a casual event focused on having a good time; non-golfers can also reminisce in the clubhouse. HOMECOMING 2024 Thank you to everyone who made the trek back to Ann Arbor to celebrate Homecoming on September 14! We hope you all enjoyed reminiscing with one another and the undergraduates; they love it when alumni come back and they get to swap stories about fraternity experiences. Thank you again to Chris for organizing the food and beverages. If you have any pictures or stories to share, please use the social media pages listed on page 4! The 2025 football schedule is still in flux, but we will hold a similar event next year. If you have any suggestions, feedback, or would like to get involved with planning/executing the event, please reach out to a board member. OPERATIONAL UPDATES We are now more than a year into our contracts with Pennington & Company and OmegaFi, which have shown tangible benefits in key areas like alumni engagement, dues collection, and financial planning. DONATIONS ARE MAKING A DIFFERENCE! Thank you to those who have supported the alumni organization via the Annual Giving program. This revenue has allowed us to sponsor events and provide financial assistance in the on-campus chapter's recruitment initiatives (which showed promise with their fall 2023 results). Have an idea for an alumni event? Please reach out to a board member so we can discuss how we can support you! For those not currently participating in the Annual Giving program, it is easy to join using the dedicated donation portal at adphiannualgiving.causevox.com. The portal allows you to select your desired giving level and securely contribute. In addition to donating online, you can also make your contribution via check. With better tracking of our finances, we have also identified opportunities to provide live- in quality-of-life incentives based on lease numbers, which we hope will drive chapter house occupancy to 31 and above consistently. In addition to giving the undergraduates a better living environment, it will provide the cash flow required to maintain the house infrastructure. The future of Peninsular is bright! Xaipe, Trevor Grantham '14 tregrantham@gmail.com MAKING BETTER MEN How ADPhi Sticks Together Brothers gather after initiating the winter 2024 pledge class. W e are still looking for additional board members and volunteers to ensure we have plenty of opinions when making decisions and to ensure we have appropriate representation across the decades of members. Please reach out to Mitchell Bieniek '16 (at mitch.imsa@gmail.com) or any current board member (peninsularsociety.com/alumni-contacts) if you are interested in joining. We also welcome anyone who'd like to help with specific event planning/execution (Homecoming, Golf Outing, and events yet to be created). Can You Help the Alumni Board?
