INSTAGRAM @olemisssigmachi e T he members of Eta Chapter are thriving this fall! Sophomores moved into the house at 121 S. Poole Drive in early August and have embraced the camaraderie and comfort of our recently renovated home. This semester held 12 exciting events, including date parties and swaps with sororities such as Phi Mu, Kappa Delta, and Chi Omega. We were also excited to host a variety of bands for events at the house, adding to the vibrant social life. Parents' Weekend was also a fantastic time! On September 28, we gathered at The Library for an evening with family and friends. The following day after the Kentucky game, everyone returned to the Sigma Chi house for music and refreshments. It was a weekend full of great memories and quality time with loved ones. Eta Chapter played proud host to the Thomas Mayo Run on November 16, an initiative that supports our local philanthropy. This year, we've partnered with the Thomas Mayo Lab, which works to help students who struggle with substance abuse. Together, we hope to raise awareness and lower substance abuse on campus. Additionally, we've collaborated with local churches to support Mana, a program providing free meals to residents in governmental housing. Through this, we are committed to giving back to the community and making a meaningful impact. Recruitment was another tremendous success this fall. We were thrilled to welcome 89 potential new members to our brotherhood. The current members have enjoyed getting to know and mentor these new brothers, and we eagerly guided them through initiation as they became active members of Eta Chapter.
