PAGE 2 A lpha Eta has become the second-largest Chapter at Oklahoma State University, with more than 140 on-campus members. With this growth, we have been able to expand our philanthropic ideals and community outreach. We have become a respected and diverse part of the Oklahoma State University community, and we are fortunate to continue to grow our young men into the Ideal Man. ACH I EVEM ENTS Our brothers have continued to work tirelessly to achieve distinguished awards that bolster our standing as a fraternity. Some of these include recognition from National, such as the Bruce McIntosh Standards for Chapter Excellence Award, Top Participant in the Ideal Man Program, and Top 5 Chapter in the Country. We have also received awards from the university, including presidential honor roll awards, dean's honor roll awards, Follies Most Entertaining Cast Award, and many others. ACADEM ICS We have taken steps to better our Chapter's overall GPA by enforcing a 3.0 requirement for all members and associates. In doing so, we saw 38 members receive recognition from Oklahoma State University for their academic achievements. Moving forward, we hope to increase this number, as well as Alpha Eta's overall GPA, under the leadership of Scholarship Chairman Ben Blair AH2176. CAM PU S I NVOLVEM ENT Our Chapter has continued involvement on campus through different events sponsored by Oklahoma State University and Greek life. This semester, we participated in Freshman Follies, Football Frenzy, Into the Streets, and Homecoming. We are also involved in numerous intramural sports, including soccer, futsal, basketball, softball, and volleyball. PH I LANTH ROPY Watermelon Bust 2024 was a huge success! Philanthropy Chairman Andrew Cooper AH2142 did a fantastic job organizing the event. We raised more than $3,000 and 2,300 food cans for Feeding America, our national philanthropy. Along with Watermelon Bust, we regularly host benefit nights and have garnered an additional $1,000 for charity from them. Giving back to our community alongside every sorority is an honor and privilege, and we cannot wait to exceed our performance next year! EVENTS Alpha Eta hosts a variety of events throughout each semester, including alumni and brotherhood events, date parties, and various smaller events. This fall, our Chapter officers attended Zink Ranch for the annual alumni reunion, hosted by Darton Zink AH1400. We also held biweekly brotherhood events organized by Vice President Jack Lee AH2120. Our Y2K-themed date party was planned and organized by Social Chairman Drake Betsill AH2178. HOM ECOM I NG Homecoming 2024 was characterized by hard work and dedication from each member of our Chapter. Jake Laxton AH2085 and Mason McCelvey AH2088 did a fantastic job designing our dec and preparing our Chapter for All Night Pomp. Ethan Tillotson AH2087 led our outdoor crew in the physical building of our dec and exceeded expectations. These three men have done a great job over the last three years to establish our Chapter as a Homecoming competitor. Not only is Homecoming a competition between Greek life, but it is also the time of year where our sense of brotherhood is at its strongest.
