Inaki Guerrero is a junior from El Paso in the finance real estate track in the McCombs School of Business. Inaki has demonstrated exceptional service outside of PIKE, including Texas THON, the largest student-led philanthropic organization in Texas, and serving as a mentor in UT's Undergraduate Real Estate Society. His career aspirations include creating a real estate fund that provides affordable, quality, low-income housing. Caden Dragoo is a senior from Allen in five-year Integrated Master in Professional Accounting program at McCombs. Caden has demonstrated exceptional service within PIKE as recruitment chairman and risk manager as well as volunteering in his hometown with the Allen Community Outreach Food Pantry. Pi Kappa Alpha B eta Mu brother Brant Bousquet '84 died in Franklin, Tennessee, in 2022 after a brief, unexpected illness. Brant was married to his beloved Virginia (also a UT graduate) and a proud parent of sons Robert and Paul. Brant loved the Longhorns and his Pi Kappa Alpha brothers, many of whom remained lifelong friends. Brant made an extraordinary impact wherever he lived. He was a unique blend of people- person and servant-leader. During his time at the PIKE house, Brant's brothers remember him as someone who genuinely listened and focused fully on them. He served as rush captain and pledge trainer. After graduating in 1987, Brant eventually found himself in the Nashville area, where he dedicated himself to working with nonprofits in community service and advocating for the poor and marginalized. In 2023, Brant's friends and family created a $100,000 scholarship endowment, the annual earnings of which provide an annual scholarship to a deserving UT Pike student. Van Beckwith '84 said: "Brant's Pike brothers, friends and family made this endowment a reality. They all deserve a thank-you for their gift to honor Brant and Texas Pikes." A group of alumni and Virginia worked with the Texas Exes to award an applicant who exhibits Brant's character qualities. For the 2024-25 scholarship, the qualifications included: full-time student who is a sophomore, junior or senior; member in good standing; and demonstration of service to others in the past and present with plans to continue. The 2024-25 Brant Bousquet Texas-Exes Memorial Scholarship recipients are Inaki Guerrero '22 ($2,000) and Caden Dragoo '21 ($1,000). The scholarship review committee intended to identify one recipient, but Inaki and Caden were a unique combination. Virginia, who was intimately involved in the selection, said: "If we combine the service of these two young men, we see Brant!" Congratulations to Caden and Inaki for their inspiring service.
