the lyre letter XI CHAPTER OF ALPHA CHI OMEGA | UNIVERSITY OF NEBRASKA-LINCOLN | FALL 2024 X i Chapter had a summer full of renovations and maintenance. From not-so-glamourous projects like tuckpointing three stories of the exterior to new hallway carpet throughout, the real icing on the "dream cake" was the completion of the second-floor bathroom remodel. After many years of saving and planning, the entire bathroom was fully renovated just in time for 2024 recruitment—and our members couldn't be more thrilled. The floor boasts a gorgeous penny tile with our Greek letters inlayed and a heated flooring system outside of the shower area. Each of the five showers has its own door surrounded by reproduction marble tile. Our eight sinks sit on top of a locally designed chrome base with open Corian shelving for member shower caddies. The counters are covered in a fabulous white Corian with black and grey veining throughout. We worked with a local designer to choose timeless products and color palettes. Thank you to those who have supported our fundraising efforts for this costly but much- needed project! We hope all of our sisters visiting campus, attending a game, or tailgating will have time to stop by the house and ask a collegian for a tour. We think you just might want to move back into your beautiful 716! She may be old, but she is grand, and she is ours. I would be remiss if I didn't mention that after completing these expensive projects, HCB continues to need your support to rebuild our reserves. Please consider contributing to the Xi Chapter House Corporation Board as a part of your end-of-year giving. We are always so grateful for your support!
