I launched my photography career in November 2019 while still working full-time as an electrical engineer. By 2020, my photography business began to thrive, and since then, I've been shooting more than 20 weddings a year. One of the highlights is the creative freedom I enjoy. I am particularly proud of a ballerina photoshoot from Kauffman—a concept I was thrilled to finally see come to life. Additionally, I've had the pleasure of photographing Chiefs cheerleaders' weddings and traveling around the world to capture love stories and meet clients who typically find me through Instagram. June 2024 was particularly exciting, as I traveled from New York to California for back-to-back weddings on consecutive weekends, with additional trips to Phoenix, Lake Geneva, and Michigan. I'm thrilled and honored to have had the chance to capture the weddings and engagements of 10 of my sorority sisters. It's been incredible to witness and photograph their proposals, engagements, and weddings. I'm excited to shoot another sister's wedding in a few months! In addition to working full-time as an electrical engineer and my career as a wedding photographer, I'm also a wife to my high school sweetheart. We've been married for five years and together for 13. We live in Olathe, where he is a stay-at-home dad to our son, Bennett (3), who is the joy of my life. I'm so grateful that Bennett has had the opportunity to travel with us since he was just a baby. Having them both join me on these adventures has been truly amazing. If you'd like to contact Abbey, you can send her an email at abbey.regnier@outlook.com. You can also find more about her photography business on her website, www.abbeyregnierphotography.com. Capturing Unforgeable Moments (Continued from page 1) Phi Chapter provided a strong foundation for growth and continues to influence my personal and professional lives. What's Abbey's Advice for Young Alpha Chis? I encourage my younger Alpha Chi sisters to develop strong relationships while in college. Networking and support systems are invaluable for both personal growth and future career opportunities. I never imagined that I would become a wedding photographer while in college, nor would I have believed I'd have the chance to capture so many of my sorority sisters' weddings. It has truly been the greatest honor. Alumnae News Rebecca Massey McTavish '67 is a realtor in Winchester, Va., specializing in residential properties.
