Sosi Vartanian-Gibbs '21 at Alpha Phi Convention in Palm Springs. Beta Beta Remains Busy CHAPTER ACTIVITIES AND INVOLVEMENT The Ivy 2 HAPPY FALL! We are excited to share the latest Beta Beta achievements and activities. SERVING AND STUDYING Beta Beta members have made lasting impacts on the East Lansing community by volunteering and giving back while also getting involved in a multitude of student organizations. In spring, the chapter achieved a 3.37 GPA and contributed positively to the academic reputation of the fraternity and sorority community. GAINING NEW SKILLS In June, Chapter President Sosi Vartanian-Gibbs '21 had the opportunity to attend the Alpha Phi Convention in Palm Springs, California. Throughout this week, Sosi engaged in department-specific meetings, gaining skills within her position. Convention provided a unique platform for networking with other chapter officers and connecting with alumnae. PROVIDING INCLUSIVE HOUSING Beta Beta was approved to house second-year students in our facility for the 2024-25 school year. Our chapter reflects Michigan State University's commitment to providing diverse and inclusive on-campus housing options that create a positive and enriching residential experience for all students. GROWING THE SISTERHOOD We had another successful recruitment this fall! We spent the last week in August participating in a variety of activities, including our third-annual sisterhood retreat, Camp Phi. The hard work paid off because not only did we get 57 members during formal recruitment, but Beta Beta is now the largest it has ever been and the largest sorority Michigan State University has ever had with a total of 216 women! LEARNING TO LEAD In September, Madi Kozminski '21, Vice President of Finance and Housing, had the opportunity to attend the Alpha Phi Disney Institution where she represented our chapter while learning and adapting new skills in leadership. Another amazing year is in store for Beta Beta, and we can't wait to share our progress with you in the spring!
