University of Kansas page 3 T he men of Gamma Tau have begun another year and are excited to see what they can accomplish. Although the Jayhawks aren't playing here in Lawrence, Delts have enjoyed traveling to Arrowhead to watch them and have enjoyed away games with watch parties at the Shelter. The men of Gamma Tau have also enjoyed the new improvements Mom's Club has blessed us with. We have recruited a new member class of 23 outstanding men and are excited to see what they can accomplish during their tenure as undergraduate Delts. Due to the academic excellence of the Epsilon class, we awarded seven Brothers the freshman scholarship for being at the top of their class, all of them earning 4.0s. The awarded men were Walter Waxman '23, Gage Comfort '23, Canon Edwards '23, Minh Nguyen '23, Quinn Westrope '23, Macade Lewis '23, and Sebastian Meriano '23. Minh was awarded the IFC Scholar of the Month in September as well. We've been actively participating in multiple philanthropy events put on by other chapters. • Last month, Connor Shepard '22, Colby Keisling '24, Carter Cate '23, and John Van Gelder '25 competed in the annual FIJI Hotdog eating contest. • Sebastian Meriano '23, Ryan Robinson '23, Aiden Sullivan '23, Simon Woodbury '23, Colin Bangs '25, Luke Lewis '25, John Van Gelder '25 Luke Elley '25, Gabe Liston '25, and Noah Adcock '25 represented Delt in DG's Anchor Games. • There is also a large philanthropy event in the works for spring 2025 with all proceeds being donated to the KU Cancer Center. The men of Gamma Tau are excited for another amazing semester and will continue to strive for greatness in grades, philanthropic efforts, and member development. I'm excited to see what we can accomplish, and as always, Rah Delt and Rock Chalk!
