Eleven Eleven Report
Gamma Tau Chapter of Delta Tau Delta
university of kansas
n
Fall 2024
I
n this latest Eleven Eleven Report, you will see
the men at Gamma Tau "are hangin' in there."
I pulled this quote from a 1977 Delt Extra!
newsletter provided by William "Phog"
Martin '74. I was really struck by the
newsletter for several reasons. First, that
letterhead from 47 years ago—I remember
that letterhead! Second, it was great to see all
the accomplishments of the men in the Shelter
that year, and I immediately connected to the
success of the men there now. I would argue
we're doing a little better than "hangin' in
there;" we continue to achieve!
Speaking of which, the men in the chapter took
second on the Hill in grades this spring with
a 3.4 GPA! Additionally, we pledged 23 new
members this fall who, no doubt, will carry on
the academic success.
As I mentioned in the spring newsletter, to
further support the academic success of our
members, we are building on the legacy of the
Hibbs Scholarship and have established the
Kansas Delts Scholarship Fund through the KU
Endowment. This is a chance to permanently
endow scholarships for future members and
help support the success of our chapter for
another 47 years. Please scan the QR code
below to visit kuendowment.org/delts or
reach out to either Scott
Roberts '91 at sroberts@
bluevalleyk12.org or me for
additional information.
One last note, Alumni
Weekend is scheduled for
April 25-26, 2025—save the
date! We will have several events throughout
the weekend, including the golf tournament,
which will again be at Eagle Bend Golf
Course in Lawrence. We had over 100 alumni
participate last year and look to fill the course
this year.
I look forward to seeing you soon!
