RECRUITMENT ADVANTAGES Our chapter faces continual pressure to secure the best recruits at UNL from other top houses like Alpha Gamma Rho and Beta Theta Pi. What sets these chapters apart is their scholarship awards for incoming and current members. Currently, FarmHouse only awards one scholarship per year. We can do better. Additionally, offering scholarships to incoming students will enable recruitment chairmen to receive eligible new members earlier than fraternities who do not offer scholarships. We must evolve to attract the top men available each year. PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT We can strengthen our chapter and individual brothers by permanently funding the chapter's attendance at the FarmHouse Leadership Institute for incoming chapter officers. In addition to FLI, there is a need for more leadership development opportunities, specifically for new and emerging members as well as career readiness for graduating seniors. Enhancing our mentorship program and teaching professional skills will enhance the student experience and build an even greater brotherhood among FarmHouse. ONGOING HOUSE MAINTENANCE We now have a top-caliber facility, but just like our homes, there is continual maintenance and improvements to be made to keep the current appeal. Creating a capital reserve fund to address ongoing house maintenance and updates protects alumni brothers' previous investment and ensures our home remains the top at UNL. THE NEXT LEVEL FOR NEBRASKA FARMHOUSE 6 W e are eternally grateful for the 560 men who donated to The Next Hundred Years of Building Men campaign, helping us raise $4.46 million in support of our new home. Thanks to their generosity, the chapter house was completed in 2017 and our brothers are thriving at 3601 Apple Street. As a leading fraternity at UNL, we are always looking toward the next level for Nebraska FarmHouse. In summer 2023, the Association Board hosted a student and alumni focus group to hear directly from brothers about the needs and priorities of the future. Three challenges were identified: recruitment advantages, professional development, and ongoing house maintenance and support.
