Alumnae in the Columbia Area
REUNION 1
WOMEN OF THE '60S AND '70S
From July 16-18, more than 20 sisters, some
traveling from as far as Massachusetts,
kicked off their gathering with a welcome
reception in the Alumnae Lounge and
formal dinner in the Grand Hall. After
a "sleepover" in the house, the group
enjoyed delightful tours of Warm Springs
Ranch in Boonville, home of the Budweiser
Clydesdales, and the Missouri Botanical
Gardens. The women also dined at the
Country Club of Missouri and Sophia's.
Their trip concluded with a delicious brunch
prepared and served at the house. The
reunion, hosted by Val Lawlor '71 and Mary
Jo Williams Hippe '69, received praise from
its attendees.
"I had never met many of the women there,
but on the final morning, I departed with
many more hugs than when I arrived. A
sign of true sisterhood and a successful
reunion," said Beth Greer '74, who was
surprised with her 50-year pin at the event.
REUNION 2
REVITALIZATION CLASS OF 1999
From July 19-21, this group celebrated
their 25th anniversary at the house;
many were greatly impressed by the new,

beautiful gathering spaces and the private
and spacious bathrooms. They enjoyed
a walking tour of campus, a visit to the
bookstore, a pub and restaurant crawl,
and a sunset reception at Les Bourgeois in
Rocheport. They also enjoyed a welcome
reception on Phi Beach on Friday evening;
that event was highlighted by a 25-year
pin ceremony led by Amy Jordan '87 and
Val Lawlor '71. As two of the leaders of
the revitalization, their special appearance
was a welcomed delight to the 22 reunion-
goers. This reunion was hosted by Liz
Underwood Drouin '99, Jessica Kinder
Hughes '99, and Angella Gentry '99.
Katie Andrews Enyeart '99 said, "It was
not only a time to reflect on such fond
college memories but also the greater
history of Alpha Phi at Mizzou, our small
role in it, and the incredible things Omicron
has accomplished since our pledge class
graduated. The new house is stunning, and
it's amazing how our leadership and alumnae
have worked together to create such a
wonderful home for our collegiate sisters and
one we can all be proud of when we visit."
