2 The BATTLEFIELD SIG Why Sigma Chi? We Asked New Members T heta Chapter has had a terrific start to the school year. We sent out 17 invitations to join the brotherhood and received 17 acceptances to begin the Preparation for Brotherhood process. 15 in a Row! Consul Quinn Klaiman '25 attended the Krach Transformational Leadership Workshop where he received the chapter's 15th-straight Blue Peterson Award. We also received a visit from the Hunstman Foundation and look forward to beating last year's total of over $20,000 raised at Derby Days. Summer Successes Members were busy doing good work over the summer. • Brotherhood Chairman Dan Nguyen '26 interned at KPMG in Berlin, Germany, and traveled to five countries. • Brother Parker Cohen '26 volunteered in Hua Hin, Thailand, building schools for three weeks. • Quaester Michael Fellman '25 interned at AtriCure, working with their clinical and regulatory teams. Academics In the classroom, brothers remain students of fair ability with ambitious goals. Brother James Weedon '25 was a part of X-sig research with the psychology department, observing rats and behavioral neuroscience. Brother Ryder Hobbs '25 was accepted to the Kolbe Fellowship and will be doing independent research with Professor Vernon Cisney on post-modern philosophy this fall. Campus Involvement The chapter remains engaged on campus, as brothers are involved with NCAA baseball, tennis, and swim teams as well as the club hockey, rugby, and soccer teams. We also have participants in Relay for Life, the Gettysburg Fashion Institute, the Thrifting Club, Listeners and Performers, Greek Emerging Leaders, and Order of Omega. Thank you for continuing to support Theta Chapter as we strive to better ourselves and grow stronger together! The chapter is working on new ways for undergraduates to connect with alumni brothers, so look forward to hearing more from us soon.
