SU BRAND COLORS (RGB)
F
rom September 6-8, alumni from the '70s
to our most recent graduates came to
campus to visit our new house at 721 Comstock
(right next door to 711, our house during
the '80s and '90s) and spend time with our
outstanding undergraduate brotherhood.
The weekend festivities began with a welcome
cocktail reception on Friday night at the new
house followed by the usual spirited gathering
at a DU favorite, Faegans. Saturday started off
with a Dikaia board meeting, which was well-
attended and productive. After a tailgate party at
the house, alumni and collegians headed to the
Dome to watch an exciting and action-packed
football game that had the Mighty Orange
taking down ranked Georgia Tech 31-28.
Following the game, a crew of alumni headed
down to The Varsity for pizza, wings, pitchers,
and the legendary post-victory performance
by the SU Marching Band. Several undergrads
and some alumni chose to watch the game at
the house while preparing for a great post-game
party and barbecue held on a sunny afternoon
right behind the new house. The alumni were
amused and perplexed by the game of dice, but
the undergrad contingent displayed high energy
and skill as they bounced dice off the tables
for hours.
The fun continued late into the evening, both
down on Marshall Street as well as at the
chapter house, and a handful of hardy alumni
got together for breakfast and farewells on
Sunday morning at the Collegian Hotel. We
were all impressed with the current collection
of men who are carrying on the long tradition of
the passion, character, and excellence of Delta
Upsilon at Syracuse University.
Fraternally,
