BΘΠ BΘΠ Page 3 Nurturing Beta Bonds Dan Grainger '16 Joins Alumni Association Board S ince his years as a refounding member and president of Theta Delta Chapter, Dan Grainger '16 has had a tremendously valuable Beta Theta Pi experience. Many of his best friends came from the Fraternity, and most of Dan's professional path can be traced to connections from his Greek life network. Beta Theta Pi even gave Dan his first job as a leadership consultant for the Southwest region, which gave him a competitive edge in leadership and communication skills. All this time, Dan has stayed in touch with various members of the Alumni Association Board, such as Scott Saffell '78, Dave Wright '67, and Dr. Dominic Bagnoli '85—now he'll join them as the board's newest member! "When they extended the offer for me to join, I didn't hesitate," Dan said. "The board is full of men I have looked up to for a long time. I'm eager to spend time on the board and learn from them." We're hoping to activate this younger generation, bridge the gap between the decades, and just get folks reconnected with Theta Delta. Dan is joining as a general member, but he'll play a significant role in the near term by driving alumni engagement. This includes recruiting new board members and volunteers from Theta Delta's young alumni base and strengthening ties with older generations. "The Chapter was off campus for quite a few years, and there's still a gap of engagement between the older alumni and my generation (and younger)," Dan explained. "We're hoping to activate this younger generation, bridge the gap between the decades, and just get folks reconnected with Theta Delta." After his time on the Fraternity staff, Dan continued to serve in volunteer roles including District Chief for the D.C. and Maryland areas. He then served as the advisory board president for Theta Delta before stepping down to join the Alumni Association Board. "This organization is made up of men I respect and have fun with, and I've always valued those relationships," Dan said. "So selfishly, I think I'm most excited to spend more time with these people. It's exciting to help build the bridge for the next generation." Dan lives in Columbus, Ohio, and looks forward to connecting with Theta Delta alumni from all over. Professionally, Dan serves as a Vice President at T4 Associates, a voice of the customer research consultancy. To connect with Dan, reach out at danieltgrainger@gmail.com or (614) 949-6465. "What drew me to Beta was the sense of brotherhood you could feel from the first interaction. Everyone is supportive and encouraging; it's like an instant bond. Now that I'm a part of it, I've realized just how much we uplift each other, whether it's through academics, leadership, or just being there when someone needs a friend." –Tyler Meader '27 "I wanted to be part of something bigger than myself—a true brotherhood where every member is genuinely looking out for one another. Since joining, I've found a family that pushes me to be my best, not only as a student but as a person. The camaraderie here is unmatched, and I'm grateful every day for the deep connections I've made." – Jacob Suh '27 "I joined because I wanted to find a community where I could grow and build lifelong friendships. The brotherhood has exceeded my expectations—it's not just about hanging out, but truly being there for each other through thick and thin. The sense of friendship and loyalty in this house is something I've never experienced anywhere else." –Daniel Yi '27 Welcome, Fall 2024 New Members C H A P T E R O F F I C E R S
