THETA DELTA DRAGON THETA DELTA DRAGON Page 2 T his year has been one of remarkable achievement and growth for our chapter. Our most significant recognition came with the Top Housing Corporation Award, a prestigious honor from Sorority and Fraternity Life. This honor is a testament to the tremendous efforts of Scott Saffell '78 and Jay, who have been instrumental in maintaining and enhancing our Chapter's housing. Additionally, we've seen a smooth transition in our housing leadership, as Manny Heilman stepped into the role of housing manager, taking over for Matt Seremet. Special thanks to Trey Jones '26 and Swaraj Mohapatra '27 for their diligent work in helping Manny assimilate effectively into the chapter. Academically, our Chapter continues to excel. Last semester, we recorded an overall GPA of 3.42, with our new member class averaging an even more impressive 3.47. We are committed to maintaining this high academic standard, with focused efforts led by Johnathan Heisa '25 and Elliot Alessia '26. Their dedication to ensuring the new members uphold their academic excellence has been commendable, and we aim to keep the new member GPA above 3.4. On the philanthropy front, I have spearheaded new service initiatives in the Columbus area, including the adoption of two streets that we clean monthly. This has greatly expanded our involvement in the local community. Furthermore, we are actively preparing for BuckeyeThon and seeking donors to support this wonderful cause. We encourage everyone to contribute as we approach the event! If you'd like to get involved, please reach out to me at (330) 685-7215 or Andrew Monzel '26 at (513) 713- 4397 if you are interested in donating. In terms of campus involvement, we are proud to have four members running for positions on the Interfraternity Council executive board. Gabe Phillips '26 is running for president, Ben Heitkamp '27 for vice president of recruitment, Jackson Fowler '27 for vice president of finance, and Logan Bunker '27 for chief justice. Their commitment to leadership within the Fraternity and broader campus community reflects the values of Beta Theta Pi. Overall, this year has been filled with successes that have strengthened our Chapter in all aspects. Thank you for continuing to invest in our progress and support our brotherhood!
