Beta Taus from the collegiate chapter, Advisory Board, Corporation Board, and Sarasota alumnae group gathered to take part in various activities, including ritual events, business meetings, awards, and a highly enjoyable day trip to explore Colby College, the birthplace of Sigma Kappa! Amid the busy schedule, there was even time to explore the beautiful city of Boston and enjoy its rich history—and food! Congratulations to the Beta Tau Chapter for earning the prestigious 3-Star Award for Highest Standards of Excellence! In celebration of Sigma Kappa's 150th anniversary, the chapter also received a generous endowment from Carole Oetke Townsend '66. This gift will fund a special scholarship, symbolized by a beautiful Founders Badge to be passed from recipient to recipient. In an exciting surprise, the Beta Tau Corporation Board also won the National Housing Corporation Barbara Fenters Award for the second time in three years, recognizing them as the best in the nation. The board is already hard at work, determined to earn it again! A fun day trip to Colby College was a highlight of the weekend. Undergraduates and alumnae explore Boston during a break from convention activities. "When I walked into the house for the first time during recruitment, it felt like home. When I went back for preference round, I just felt like I connected with the women that I talked to so well and that I could see myself there for the rest of college." –Olivia Dicus '24 Hear From More New Members on Page 3!
