page 4 T he Delta Sigma alumnae reunion, held May 31-June 1, drew nearly 600 Kappas from east to west, north to south, and 26 states! Laughter, tears, smiles, and joy abounded, and the excitement was palpable as many sisters saw each other for the first time in years. Friendships were renewed and new connections were made! Those who attended will never forget the electric energy at the luncheon as we sang Kappa songs that bonded us all together. What an honor for us to recognize Linda Price Patton '61 for receiving the prestigious Loyalty Award from Kappa Nationals in 2010, one of only 33 alumnae nationwide to ever receive this recognition for service to the fraternity. Alumnae especially enjoyed spending time in the house reliving cherished memories and looking for their composites! Kappa sisters throughout the weekend remarked how they felt as though they were in college again and talked about the significant impact Kappa had made on their lives. We are all fortunate to have been part of such an amazing chapter. Many thanks to our reunion co-chairmen: Mary Sumner Skonezny '77, Jeanne Genzer Mandeville '77, and Kristin Zumwalt Woolery '78! Reunion Memories Linger Delta Sigma's All Pledge Class Reunion was a Blast! I am so happy that I am a Kappa Kappa Gamma, nobody knows... how happy I am! T his summer, Delta Sigma was able to send seven active members to represent our chapter on a national level at KKG's Biennial Convention in Scottsdale, Arizona. It was the experience of a lifetime, and we were able to see how far and wide the blue and blue reaches. We were able to take part in business meetings, witness bylaw alterations, and experience ritual on a scale larger than any of us had before. We were also able to bond with new members of our sisterhood. We stayed up playing games with our advisors and even got them out on the dance floor with us! It was a weekend we could never forget, and we are beyond blessed to be able to have had this experience and to bring what we learned back to our chapter this fall. Loyally, Ella Carter '23 Baylee Rose '23 A NEW PERSPECTIVE Convention Recap As a sophomore at Oklahoma State, seeing Kappa on a larger scale was an amazing experience. I also learned so much from hearing the alumnae talk about how much Kappa has impacted their college experience and life since they graduated. The organized structure of the business meetings where amendments were voted on showed me how big of a business organization Kappa Kappa Gamma is. I am extremely thankful for the opportunity to attend Convention and would love to go back!" –Ella Carter '23
