dream boldly. live fully. 3 T he 75th Biennial Kappa Convention was held in June at the JW Marriott Phoenix Desert Ridge Resort. LeAnn Martin Grantham '76 was the Lubbock Alumnae Delegate and Vice President of Recruitment Makenzie Schellberg '21 was the Chapter Delegate. Also representing Delta Psi and Lubbock were Dani Kaplan Diaz de Tuesta, California State '97 for House Board and Ritual and History Director Sue Slater '21. Although it was beastly hot outside (110 degrees!), we enjoyed gathering with Kappas from across the U.S. and Canada. New Fraternity Council officers were installed, and new bylaws and standing rules were adopted. Makenzie proudly carried our Delta Psi flag in the opening Parade of Flags, and Sue was selected to participate in the closing Passing of the Light ceremony. Delta Psi was represented well! We even got to catch up with Carolyn Byrd Simpson '70, who was there as the Alumnae Delegate for Richmond, Virginia.
