University of Mississippi PAGE 3 A LEGACY OF EXCELLENCE Chapter President Shares Recent Achievements ADDING TO OUR SISTERHOOD Our Vice President of Recruitment, Liney Loftus '22, has done an exceptional job this year, as we successfully welcomed 214 new members into our sisterhood. This impressive number reflects not only the dedication of our recruitment team but also the continued strength and appeal of our Pi Beta Phi community. The enthusiasm and commitment of our new members promise to bring fresh energy and perspectives to our chapter. PRIORITIZING ACADEMICS We are proud to highlight the outstanding work of our Vice President of Member Experience, Avery Kruthers '22. She created and implemented a new academic program to support our members on academic probation. The program provides tailored plans for each member, ensuring everyone receives the necessary support to achieve their educational goals. This initiative underscores our commitment to fostering a Personal and Intellectual Growth environment where every member can thrive. HELPING OTHERS Mississippi Beta was awarded the Fraternity and Sorority Life Excellence Award for Civic Engagement. This award is a testament to our members' hard work and dedication. We've contributed to various charitable causes, and our Community Relations team, led by Vice President of Community Relations Payten Orlow '22, and our commitment to philanthropy, enriches our community and positively impacts the lives of those we serve. We plan to host our most anticipated event of the year, Wing Ching, on October 17. Last year, this single event raised over $30,000! MAKING AN IMPACT ON CAMPUS Our members have also represented our chapter throughout campus. Merritt Welch '21 has been nominated as a Homecoming Maid! These accomplishments are a testament to the unwavering spirit and Lifelong Commitment of our chapter members, past and present. We are incredibly grateful for the continued support of our alumnae network, whose past contributions have played a significant role in our chapter's success. Your involvement and encouragement have been invaluable, and we look forward to keeping you informed about our future achievements and events. Thank you for your ongoing dedication to Pi Beta Phi! In Pi Phi, Nell Sullivan '21 Chapter President Aubrey Exum '22 and Shelby Exum '24 are all smiles during Bid Day after Shelby ran home. These sisters are so excited to be sisters times two! New Members Julianna Seewald '24 and Ava Simpson '24 take their first photo as Pi Phi members after running home to 642 Rebel Drive! Lolly Ruebel Landwehr '87 has been married to Jeff Landwehr for 28 years. "We have one Aggie graduate working in Dallas and a Longhorn football player about to start his senior year!" Lolly loves selling real estate and playing mahjong, tennis and pickleball near her home in Dallas, Texas. Their son, Sid, is a sophomore at the University of Arkansas and their daughter, Haven, started at Ole Miss this fall. Desi cherishes the fond memories of Pi Phi and is grateful to have been Treasurer of the chapter. She is looking forward to being on campus more this fall. The family lives in Little Rock, Arkansas.
