T his fall, we're building on the momentum from our first full year in the new chapter house and continuing to dominate in academics, brotherhood, and social events. With 131 on-campus brothers, we anticipate having the largest chapter in our history once the new fall class is initiated. Bringing Home a New Award It's also an exciting time for Zeta Psi, as we recently received our first Gold Peterson Award, recognizing us among the top five Sigma Chi chapters internationally. Notably, we were the largest chapter to receive this prestigious honor, surpassing the next-biggest by over 50 members. Prior to this, we held the longest streak of Blue Peterson Awards with 14 consecutive wins—a testament to the dedication of both undergraduate and alumni who have shaped our chapter with their blood, sweat, and tears. Horizons Huntsman Participants This summer, six Zeta Psi brothers were selected to attend the prestigious Horizons Huntsman Leadership Summit in Snowbird, Utah; only 200 brothers are chosen each year. They experienced a leadership curriculum that is highly respected in corporate America. Looking for the Best As we look to the fall, we are gearing up for another successful recruitment season. With the new chapter house enhancing our brotherhood, we anticipate a competitive recruitment week from September 13-20—where we may have to turn away recruits who don't meet our high standards. Following pledging, initiation is scheduled for November 2. Setting High Goals We have set a goal as a chapter to raise over $50,000 for Huntsman Cancer Institute. Our Derby Days chairmen are working hard to plan a week of events that will engage campus. Homecoming 2024 We're also excited to announce Kappa Kappa Gamma has accepted our Homecoming invitation! We're planning a week of fun activities culminating in the Homecoming game and a chapter house tailgate on October 19. In addition to continuing popular events like Beach Bash and Boat Formal, we're introducing new events, such as a trip to Keeneland for fall's social calendar. Thank You, Alumni! The fall semester is always the highlight of the year at UC, and the new house has only strengthened our brotherhood and energy. We're extremely grateful for the time, energy, and financial resources that have been invested to provide us with this incredible home.
