We are proud to have been recognized at the Fraternity Excellence Awards ceremony! page 2 THETA IOTA CHAPTER STARTED SPRING STRONG! In January, our chapter had a Nationals representative visit to educate our members about our internal philanthropy, BodyImage3D. Our members attended sessions to better educate them on the program and ways to improve their self-talk and image. In February, Theta Iota attended the Fraternity Excellence Awards and brought home some hardware! I was selected as Chapter President of the Year among 13 other candidates. In addition, Theta Iota was selected for the Advancing Chapter of the Year Award. Last but not least, our chapter earned Certificates of Achievement in Leadership, in President's Award, and in Sisterhood. After celebrating those amazing awards, we had our first date party of the year. The theme was Delta Disco and our members dressed up in sparkly dresses to enjoy time with other members. A few weeks later, we held our annual online 25K in a Day fundraiser to help raise $25,000 for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. After a busy start to the semester, we went on spring break and multiple member classes decided to take fun trips together. When we returned from break, we began officer transitions. We also had our first-ever Theta Iota Philanthropy Week, which consisted of a car wash, a percentage night at Panera, bingo boards to try and raise money, and an auction with Pi Kappa Alpha where we auctioned off baskets that included items such as a signed football from Coach Kleinman and basketball from Coach Tang. Later in the semester, we enjoyed our formal and participating in Sigma Chi Derby Days, which we hope to win for the sixth year in a row! It was a bittersweet time as we prepared for Circle Degree and sent our seniors off to the next chapter in their lives. We are so thankful for everything they have done for our chapter.
