www.alpha6294.com Theta xi T his past spring was a period of remarkable achievements and growth for our chapter, marked by significant strides in academics, philanthropy, campus involvement, and community relations. Our efforts to strengthen alumni connections, improve our living spaces, and support our members' professional development have been particularly noteworthy. Our chapter has excelled academically, with many members achieving high grades and participating in various academic initiatives. On the philanthropic front, Community Relations Chairman Gordon Jenney '26 (A1812) organized several successful initiatives. These included the sidewalk safety initiative, which ensured safer pathways around campus; the popular Dog Days event with therapy dogs to help students destress; and the Sandwiches for the Homeless program, which provided meals to those in need. These efforts have not only helped the community but also strengthened our chapter's reputation for service and care. Our members have been actively involved in numerous campus events and organizations, enhancing our presence and influence within the university community. This involvement has fostered a spirit of camaraderie and leadership among our members, contributing to a vibrant and supportive chapter environment. A great example of this was Brendan Capuzzo '24 (A1784), who was named our Brother of the Year! A major highlight this semester has been the renovation of our kitchen, which has significantly improved our living conditions and overall functionality of the chapter house. This project would not have been possible without the invaluable contributions of Les Ackerman '82 (A1210), who received the Alumni of the Year Award in honor of his efforts. Additionally, outgoing House Manager Zander Zoia '26 (A1808) played a crucial role in facilitating the transition to the new kitchen setup, ensuring everything ran smoothly and efficiently. We have made significant strides in improving our alumni relations, recognizing the importance of connecting on-campus members with our esteemed alumni network. David Fowkes '89 (A1275) has been particularly helpful in connecting undergraduates with alumni who are experts in various industries, providing valuable mentorship and career advice. Additionally, through online sessions, alumnus Adrian Pangilinan '17 (A1692) has contributed tremendously by helping actives prepare for career fairs and interviews and enhance their LinkedIn profiles. Our chapter's recruitment efforts have been exceptional this semester, resulting in the initiation of a class of 14 new brothers. This influx of new members brings fresh energy and ideas to our chapter, ensuring our continued growth and success in the years to come.
