Lyre Letter 2 T he local Alpha Tau Alpha Alumnae Chapter hosted the annual Hall of Commitment. The senior women, now alumnae, were so appreciative of the time with alumnae and the ceremony. This is always a special tradition and a great way to kick-start the alumnae journey. Congratulations, Kitty! We are so proud of our Alpha Chi Omega sister, Kitty Cambell, Millikin University, for receiving the YWCA Salute to Women award! Alumnae News Congratulations to our new alumnae! T he women of Alpha Beta Chapter have been hard at work with numerous roles around campus! Fiona Parker '23 is a freshman studying integrated business and engineering pre-law. She works at EPICS-PAWS at Purdue University, which is currently working with the Almost Home Humane Society to create flexible solutions to the problems they are facing and to reduce the workload on their volunteers. Fiona is the project manager for this organization and works hard to ensure a positive impact for the company. Sophie Yohman '22 is a junior studying biomedical health sciences pre-PA, nutrition science. She is the blood drive coordinator in the American Red Cross Club, overseeing many tasks and helping our community greatly. SUMMER INTERNSHIPS 2024 Our sisters have ensured spots at many established and accomplished businesses. Here are just a few of the highlights: Shelby Bergeron '21 is a junior studying construction management. This summer, she will be working as a project engineer intern in downtown Chicago for Executive Construction. She will work closely with the architects and owners to help execute the construction of high rises in the city. Shelby will also be doing interior work of some amazing buildings such as the Willis Tower and McDonald's Headquarters. Ella Boedy '22 is a sophomore studying biomedical engineering. This summer, she will be working on animal vaccines with Boehringer Ingelheim in St. Joseph, Missouri. Parker Sikora '22 is a sophomore studying finance and marketing and will be pursuing a marketing internship at Splenda. She was the brand marketing intern for summer 2023 and received a return offer for this summer. She works on projects like the expansion of the Stevia Farm, product awareness in the HCP category and event management locally and nationally. Parker will also be with Purdue Athletics as a marketing and promotions intern for the 2024- 25 school year. She will be on the field during every home football game to ensure maximum fan enjoyment and engagement, coordinate media timeouts and plan promotional offerings.
