P H I K A P P A T A U 3 A lpha Tau Chapter began the spring with a busy, event-packed recruitment week. Senior Recruitment Chairmen Dylan Kabance '23 and Andrew Cuschieri '23, with Junior Recruitment Chairman Dan Fuentes '24, led us through a successful recruitment cycle where we welcomed 16 men into our Omega class. Majoring in many subjects, coming from across the country and the world, and featuring two members of the Big Red Marching Band (Brian Gu '24 and Mason Rummery '24), the president of the Cornell Cybersecurity Club (William Rosenthal '24), and a Navy ROTC and representative on the Student Assembly (David Diao '24), the spring class was a great addition to the brotherhood and its vibrancy and diversity. The new member orientation process culminated with a trip to NYC, where members met up with alumni at Stout Grand Central for a reunion dinner; brothers mingled and rejoiced over food and drinks. The height of the event arrived when BoG Co-Chairmen Mike Bufano '07 and Pat Nowak '11 presented Scott Conroe '01, our beloved chapter advisor, the Phi Award from national HQ for service by an alumnus to his chapter. Andrew Cuschieri and Niko Sansevere '23 have been working on merging our two previously separate alumni LinkedIn group chats into one. We hope to continue expanding our alumni network and bridging the gap between undergraduates and alumni through dinners, reunion events, and networking opportunities. Philanthropy Chairman Nate Samuels '23 did an amazing job organizing a Chick-fil-A and Krispy Kreme fundraiser, a Pie-Tau fundraiser with the new Omega class, and two formal- attire casino nights. In total, Nate led the chapter to raise $2,010 this semester for the Serious Fun Children's Network, our national philanthropy. Alpha Tau can't wait to make the most of another year this fall. Thank you for your continued alumni support! In phi, Phillip Chao '22 Vice President of Alumni Relations The spring 2024 Omega Class gathers for the first time after their initiation ceremony.
