r e d f c u.o r g | 3 It's a "Winning" Year for Redstone Redstone Federal Credit Union is Credit Union of the Year in Alabama, as selected by the regional credit union association. e prestigious award topped off a winning year for Redstone – and the year's only half over. Redstone has won awards for our financial education programs, community outreach, and advertising and marketing campaigns. We won a record three Diamond Awards in March during the Marketing & Business Development Council 's annual marketing excellence competition in Las Vegas. Redstone was one of 168 winning organizations selected from among 1,451 submissions. e following efforts were recognized by the judges: Faces of Redstone – Community Champions. An initiative to recognize Redstone members doing great things in their communities. Interscholastic STAR Club. An effort to help elementary school students develop good saving habits in a fun and engaging manner. Level Up Youth Campaign. T his campaign is aimed at encouraging parents to open a sav ings account for their child, which allows their child to begin a relationship w ith the credit union. e League of Southeastern Credit Unions & Affiliates (LSCU) reviewed Redstone's overall successes, growth, and strengths and awarded us Credit Union of the Year for Alabama. e LSCU is the regional trade association for credit unions in Alabama, Florida, and Georgia. eir mission is to create an environment that enables credit unions to grow and succeed. "We appreciate your outstanding ser vice to members and the communities in which you ser ve. Thank you for your continued efforts to advance the credit union movement," said Lizeth George of LSCU. e Public Relations Council of Alabama (PRCA) presented Redstone two more awards for our public relations and communications efforts. Redstone won a Medallion Award for our Community Champions initiative and also won the Judge's Choice for that same entry.
