Main St., Red Bluff al photographer, author, and the show's juror, will choose the final winners just hours before the exhibit opens. Nearly 500 images were entered in this year's competition. "Narrowing these entries down to just 40 was very challenging," said Eodice. "The overall quality of the photography entered in the contest was great, and I had to eliminate some very good images to arrive at those that I felt were best. This was an international competition, and with very few exceptions, I was most impressed with the high quality of most of these photos." Sponsored by the Tehama County Photo Club, the exhibit continues through Oct. 30. The gallery is open weekdays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Eodice will also lead a workshop, "Photos that Inspire," on Saturday, Aug. 24, from 9 a.m. to noon at Rolling Hills Casino, 2655 Everett Freeman Way, Corning. She will share techniques for photographing various travel subjects in different lighting or weather situations. "Beginning and intermediate level photographers will certainly learn techniques in travel photography, although there are some tips and tricks for those who are more advanced as well," said Eodice. She encourages participants to bring up to five images for individual critiques. Cost is $50 per person; sign up at http://goo.gl/6qAFFN or see http://www.imagesfromaglasseye.org/. Call 529-1348 for more information. In its fourth year, the international competition received nearly 500 entries from 10 countries and 14 states. The exhibit's photos will be displayed online at www.imagesfromaglasseye.org and a show catalog will be available.
