T H E T A C H A P T E R O F K A P P A K A P P A G A M M A A T T H E U N I V E R S I T Y O F M I S S O U R I When we are ini ated into Kappa Kappa Gamma, we know we are entering a life- me sisterhood. But as a bright-eyed young person just star ng our adult life, it's hard to imagine the breadth of that commit- ment. O en, it's not un l we come back into a mul -genera onal community with our sisters that we realize just how precious Kappa is. No one knows this more than our own Vivian Eyna en Benedict (Theta, 1959), who, a er 50 years serving on Theta Chapter Advisory and House Boards, and the Columbia Alumnae Associa on, is re ring from her illustrious volunteer career of KKG service. A True Blue Sister We certainly hope that re rement is a loose term with Viv. All of us who serve in and around 512 Rollins con nue to call on her and I'd be surprised if she goes one day without a call or text about something Kappa-related. She is our true North Star. Like many of us, I remember first mee ng Viv during my sophomore year in those chao c late summer days we know as Recruitment. Weren't we all so relieved with our trusty advisor Viv si ng at the head table, captaining us? When Viv was there, we knew everything was taken care of.
