In November, Kyle was named Alumnus of the Year by the Louisiana Tech University Alumni Association. He used his acceptance speech to announce the Argent Innovation Fund at Louisiana Tech, established with a $1.5 million gi to the university; this fund will support the Enterprise Campus in Ruston. is gi was one of many ways Kyle has shared his success and gratitude with his Louisiana Tech and Eta Zeta roots. LEARNING RESPONSIBILITY Kyle was the first in his family to join a fraternity, having gone through recruitment at a neighbor's suggestion. At Sigma Nu, he saw a focus on genuine brotherhood along with a drive to serve others before oneself (a virtue he applies to Argent's success). He went on to serve as the chapter's treasurer and recruitment chairman, followed by Tech's student body president. Best of all, he met his wife of 41 years, Tisdale, through Greek life. "ere were lots of fun parties, but more importantly, the fraternity encouraged personal growth through leadership opportunities—both in Eta Zeta and on campus," Kyle said. Argent employs over 40 Louisiana Tech graduates, some of whom are Kyle's own Sigma Nu brothers; he knows he can count on them through the bond they share. Kyle also enjoys getting together with brothers from his era for fishing and hunting trips. FAMILY AND BROTHERHOOD In addition to his lasting relationships and support of the university, Kyle humbly co-chaired the capital campaign to rebuild Eta Zeta's chapter house. "When the old house suffered tornado damage, it was time to step in and help others already providing leadership," he said. Kyle holds a law degree from Louisiana State University and spent his pre-Argent career in banking law. Today, he is a member of multiple local boards, including the Louisiana Tech College of Business Advisory Board and the board of Council for a Better Louisiana. He enjoys his free time with Tisdale and their four married children and eight grandchildren. You can reach Kyle at kmcdonald@argentfinancial.com.
