Our undergraduate brothers have been busy at work, and alumni are following in their footsteps. As we enter our 100th year as a Chapter, the energy and excitement could not be better for what lies ahead. SIGMA BBQ IS BACK! In collaboration with Sigma Alpha Epsilon and Sigma Chi, our undergraduate brothers hosted the Sigma BBQ on February 24, attracting more than 300 guests to support families impacted by Duchenne muscular dystrophy. The event featured live music, barbecue, and yard games to raise an impressive $7,000 to directly benefit families and programs funded by the Jett Foundation. Congrats to our brothers for co-leading this effort, and if you live around Gainesville, look out for next year's! FLORIDA ALPHA CLASSIC RETURNS FOR ROUND TWO On March 23, our undergraduate brothers and alumni joined forces for the second annual Florida Alpha Classic golf tournament, which took place in Turkey Creek Golf Course near Gainesville. It was a fun day of golfing and brotherhood that could not have been possible without the help of Todd Bonlarron '93 and Santiago Alvarez '25. Thanks to all who joined, and for those who missed it, join us during our centennial weekend in March 2025. WE HAVE A TRAGOS SCHOLAR Our undergraduate brothers never cease to amaze me. That is the case with Matthew Shake '25, who was just announced as our next Tragos Quest to Greece scholar! Tragos scholars explore Greek culture and reflect upon the origins of SigEp's values and the Balanced Man ideal. Matthew joins a prestigious group of Florida Alpha SigEps who have undergone this journey in the past. Congratulations, brother; we look forward to hearing about your travels. FLORIDA ALPHA TURNS 100 Last, but certainly not least, on March 28, 2025, Florida Alpha will be 100 years old. It is wild to think about all that has happened in the past century and that our brotherhood has stood strong through it all. To celebrate this momentous occasion, we will be convening in Gainesville for the Florida Alpha centennial weekend celebration from March 28-30, 2025. Brett Ogilvie '86 and his committee are graciously leading the charge to organize this monumental gathering; you won't want to miss it!
