Check out Alpha Chi's beautiful new home! ALPHA C HI ALPHA C HI REVIEW REVIEW P H I K A P PA TAU | A L P H A C H I C H A P T E R | S P R I N G 2 0 2 4 THE THE W e have been blessed to lease the ATO house on campus for the past six years. That lease comes to an end this May when ATO returns. The House Corp worked with MSU Greek Life in attempts to find a suitable location on campus with no luck. We began to look off campus, and after an extensive search, we were able to find a gem. The chapter's new home is located at 199 N. Montgomery Street at the intersection of HWY 182 and North Montgomery. The house is very large with an open downstairs floor plan and five large bedrooms. There is also a detached two-car garage and a detached studio in the back that is large enough to accommodate chapter meetings. The house is also only a few steps away from Rick's Cafe on HWY 182, which has agreed to let the chapter use its parking lot for overflow parking when members visit the house. The chapter is also in discussion with Rick's about the possibility of hosting events and meals just two doors down the street. We plan for this solution to be a welcome but temporary one as our plans to build on campus steadily move forward. More announcements on that will be coming soon! Thank you for supporting Alpha Chi as we navigate this exciting new chapter. I n July 2023, I stepped in as the new Board of Governors chairman for Alpha Chi Chapter. I thought I knew a lot after the few years I spent on the Executive Council, but I have learned so much about Phi Kappa Tau nationally and locally since becoming chairman. I find joy in going to national meetings and sitting in with the undergraduates monthly. Our brotherhood has much potential! From operation adjustments to simple phone calls, this chapter has started to build its next steppingstones for the future. I believe success will come from continuing to build a great team that aligns with our vision, taking everything one step at a time, and investing more in our collegians. Over the past year, Alpha Chi Chapter has experienced a lot of ups, downs, and changes within the organization. Notable events include new leadership and advisors, making memories at football games, philanthropy events, parties, and honoring loved ones who entered Chapter Eternal. Our purpose and values are alive and well, and our brotherhood has meaning! Our chapter is giving to others and one another more than I have ever seen, and we have an almost 100% retention rate (despite moving off campus). Finally, we have young alumni who can help participate in this chapter's future. Brothers, I want you to reach out to me if you would like—I am more than happy to speak. We are improving our communication, so we have added a new public relations advising role and a new website is in the works. I hope all brothers feel inspired for the future and are ready to see what can be done!
