Notes of the Lyre PHI CHAPTER OF ALPHA CHI OMEGA | UNIVERSITY OF KANSAS | SPRING 2024 Siers for a Lifetime A N U P D A T E F R O M T H E H C B A nother year is in the books for the women of Phi Chapter! We welcomed some wonderful new initiates last fall and this spring we bid goodbye to our seniors at Hall of Commitment. I hope this outgoing group of women will look back at their years in Alpha Chi with the same fondness that so many of us have, which in turn fostered our lifetime commitment to Phi Chapter. It is that commitment and support which helps the House Corporation Board provide the best home away from home and enrich the collegiate experience for the women of Phi. » Last fall, we converted two rooms into officer suites by replacing the bunk beds with a full-size bed, making them single occupancy. We anticipate the Chapter President and Vice President for Facilities and Operations will occupy those rooms. » Over winter break, we updated the internet and Wi-Fi, increasing the range and connectivity points. » The women's living areas upstairs are all refreshed with new carpet, paint, and updated lighting in the bathrooms. With those accomplished, we will now be turning our attention to the first floor. The top priorities are the guest bedroom and dining room. Window and door updates are also something we need to explore. However, that will not be a small project nor an inexpensive one, but it's important for the integrity of the house. Sisters, please drop in if you are in the Lawrence area! We always enjoy seeing you and hearing about your wonderful Alpha Chi Omega memories.
