Syracuse University 3 T his semester, and the entire academic year, has been a journey marked by our collective dedication to the growth and success of our fraternity. As we reflect on our journey, we're filled with gratitude for the opportunities Delta Upsilon has provided us. We have had an incredibly successful semester, and I cannot wait to see what we will continue to accomplish. COMMUNITY Our fraternity has actively collaborated with We Rise Above the Streets for many charity events, demonstrating our commitment to serving our community. Additionally, we've volunteered at the local food bank weekly, providing assistance to families in need throughout Syracuse. Furthermore, we have organized two impactful philanthropy events in partnership with sororities. Our fraternity takes great pride in our extensive engagement with both the city of Syracuse and the broader University community, and we look forward to continuing our efforts to make a positive difference. WINNING I would like to recognize a few of our leaders. Our success is largely owed to Executive Vice President William Burger '26, whose unwavering commitment has played a pivotal role in steering us toward achieving our shared objectives, making him an invaluable asset to our team. Vice President of Risk Management Jack Lucas '26, deserves recognition for his proactive leadership style. Jack's friendly demeanor, responsibility, and personable nature have significantly contributed to minimizing challenges within our chapter this semester. Our Vice Presidents of Internal and External Relations, Collin Smith '25 and Cole Weintraub '25 respectively, have played pivotal roles in fostering interest in leadership positions and philanthropic endeavors within our fraternity. Collin has done an exceptional job with recruitment, as he has worked closely with the Exec Board and many of the chair positions to accomplish great things within and outside the chapter. Cole has done an unbelievable job with the Dikaia Awards, March Madness charity fundraiser, and our new alumni newsletters. Vice President of Finance Adam Neufeld '26 has been vital in keeping our chapter's finances in good shape. RECRUITMENT EFFORTS Recruitment Chairman William Broad '26 spearheaded the recruitment of 25 outstanding individuals to our new Pi class. These men have already begun to embody the values of brotherhood at Delta Upsilon. As we wrap up the semester, our chapter consists of 110 members. SERVING SYRACUSE CHAPTER Our commitment to Syracuse University extends beyond our fraternity, and Ethan Gunther '24, our spring 2024 associate member educator, embodies this dedication. His tireless efforts have left a profound mark on our chapter, fostering growth and strengthening our brotherhood. Secretary Ben Catlin '26 has skillfully managed our administrative operations through precision and dedication. Brotherhood Chairmen Matt Adelman '24 and Nick Albanese '25 have been fostering stronger bonds among us. Social Chairmen James Barker '26 and Matt Holmes '25 have played a key role in arranging enjoyable social events. Their efforts have brought our fraternity closer together, creating a fun and inclusive atmosphere for all members. Under the guidance of Special Events Chairman Ben Harris '24, we revisited Toronto for our formal destination. The trip was more than just a getaway; it was a celebration of our brotherhood. HOUSING We are thrilled to announce our relocation to 721 Comstock, a move made possible by the past Executive Board's exceptional efforts. This new space will soon be home to 40 of our brothers, a testament to the outstanding work of James Moore '26, our vice president of housing, who has worked tirelessly to enhance our living space, collaborating with DUSU Housing Corporation President Mark Linnan '85 to implement a great living situation for our new home. SIGNING OFF Looking ahead, I am filled with optimism for the future of our fraternity. The dedication and leadership displayed by our brothers have laid a strong foundation upon which we will continue to build and thrive on. Together, we will honor the traditions of those who came before us while forging new paths toward greatness.
