PUBLIC HEARING DATES: The Town held a public hearing on Tuesday, April 9th during the Regu- lar Town Council Meeting. TUESDAY, APRIL 23, 2024, at 7:00 p.m. – Regular Town Council Meeting. Public Hearings will be held at Town Hall in the Council Chambers located at 465 N. Plymouth Ave., Quartzsite AZ 85346. In November 2023, the voters passed the issue of a One-Time Override for an Alternative Expen- diture Limitation for Fiscal Year 2024-2025 to begin July 1, 2024. The Town of Quartzsite Mayor and Council would like to propose a more permanent alternative ex- penditure limitation at the General Election to be held on November 5, 2024. This will give the voters the opportunity to choose a permanent expenditure limitation. This will allow the Town to establish budgets according to local needs of revenues received (budgeted) rath- er than being subjected to the State- Imposed formula. If the voters ap- prove, the additional expenditure authority will be used for all local budgetary purposes including pub- lic safety, parks, recreation, library, utilities and public works streets and roads and general government. Revenues received from federal, state, and local sources will be used to fund such expenditures. This op- tion, if adopted by the Town Coun- cil and approved by voters, will take effect July 1, 2025." For more information visit www. QuartzsiteAZ.org or contact Town Hall at 928-927-4333.
