The U.S. Small Business Admin- istration (SBA) and SCORE, men- tors to America's small businesses and a resource partner of the SBA, announced that registration for the 2024 National Small Business Week Virtual Summit is now open. The two-day online event will take place from April 30-May 1. Attendance is free of charge, but registration is required. This year's NSBW Virtual Summit will feature educational workshops presented by event cosponsors, ac- cess to federal resources, and net- working opportunities. AG appoints La Paz Co Sheriff to AZPO Memorial Board Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes appointed La Paz County Sheriff William Ponce to the Arizona Peace Offi cer Memorial Board (POMB). She said in a letter to the Sheriff dated March 7th, "You will bring a much needed perspective to the history of law enforcement in this state and the work POMB does in honoring Arizona's fallen offi cers." The Arizona POMB was created by legislative act in 1986 and pays trib- ute to peace offi cers who have died in the line of duty. The memorial was commissioned and dedicated on May 20, 1988. During a special ceremony each year, the memorial is updated to include new names of fallen offi cers. We are all working together to pay tribute to the brave men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifi ce in the line of duty. On behalf of the Arizona Attorney General's Offi ce and the entire Board, I want to welcome you and thank you for agreeing to serve." P����| S������ RAIN G�����-B��� Arizona honors fallen peace offi cers who have made the ultimate sacrifi ce at the annual Peace Offi cers Memorial Service at the Arizona State Capitol. Families and survivors of the fallen heroes are welcome the annual event to pay tribute. The somber ceremony, led by the Arizona Peace Offi cers Memorial Board, is held in Wesley Bolin Plaza at the Peace Offi cer Memorial. This year's service will be held on May 6th, 2024 at 7:00pm.
