The A Publication of Delta Upsilon at the University of Missouri • Spring 2024 Duck call INSIDE: PAGE 2 Developing Our Men PAGE 3 Alumni Updates Chapter Officers Welcome New Initiates Congrats to Will Mason '24 T wo years ago, Delta Upsilon Educational Foundation announced the $6 million Ignite the Charge campaign to expand and increase educational programming for DU undergraduates across North America. As a part of this campaign, the Missouri Chapter Legacy Plan was created so alumni can make tax-deductible donations for the direct benefit of Missouri Chapter undergraduates. Providing annual coaching and training is critical for strengthening the culture and sustainability of the chapter. Currently, the chapter must fund educational programming out of yearly cash flow. The Missouri CLP is an endowment fund that will lessen the burden on the undergraduates. Our goal is to have a CLP of roughly $300,000, which would fund 25 scholarships and one chapter retreat each year. Donor receptions were held in St. Louis and Kansas City last year to gauge initial interest. Thus far, the response has been encouraging. In fact, pledges from 25 donors currently exceed $180,000! The benefits of this initiative are already being seen. On March 2, the entire chapter participated in a daylong session at Memorial Union known as the Building Better Men Retreat. The session was organized by Chapter Advisory Board Chairman Jeff Kreutz '99 and facilitated by Kody Rother, North Dakota '09 of DUIF's leadership staff. The program focuses on creating chapter buy-in to a shared plan of action. This will become an annual event and was all made possible through a recent CLP gift from Brother Bob Doyle '71. Time Is Running Out to Contribute! Communications will be coming your way as we build to the campaign's close on June 30, 2024. In the meantime, you can go to deltau.org/ITCMissouri for additional information. I am honored to serve as the campaign chairman and would be happy to engage with you personally. Fraternally, E.
