The Duck call Page 2 I am delighted to share some highlights since our last update in the fall. Delta Upsilon completed the fall semester with a 3.2 GPA, which is above the all-fraternity and all-male averages. Recruitment and Initiations Building on the strong fall recruitment class, we initiated 36 new brothers into our membership. The ceremony was held on November 5 at Memorial Union and is pictured on page 3; Thomas Crippen '23 delivered the charge. Recruitment continued this spring with seven new members who were initiated on April 7. Learn more about them on page 4. Leadership Updates New officer elections were held in late November, and Advisory Board Chairman Jeff Kreutz '99 organized a new officer retreat in January. I participated in the Delta Upsilon International Fraternity President's Academy and the Association of Fraternal Leadership and Values conference, both of which were held in Indianapolis. During my time at AFLV, I met with other chapter presidents from around the nation. The event provided valuable opportunities for leadership development and networking, enriching our efforts to strengthen our Fraternity at Mizzou. In February, the chapter executive board and other interested members (13 in total) participated in DUIF's Regional Leadership Academy held in Kansas City. This program is designed to help new officers understand their roles and expectations. Greek Week DU teamed up this year with Tri Delta and Lambda Kappa Alpha. On the sports side, our team took first, second, and third place in sand volleyball, "mystery sport," and basketball, respectively. Our team donated over 1,400 cans to the Food Bank of Central Missouri and collected over $1,000 in donations; more than 100 members donated to the blood drive as well. Finally, we participated in Skit and Dance in front of thousands of students in Jesse Hall. Brother Will Mason '24 was selected as a Royalty candidate, one of only five fraternity members to receive such an honor. Pay a Visit Please drop by the chapter house if you ever get back to Columbia. We'd love to see you!
