Our brothers are also staying committed as ever to their academic goals and involvement with various organizations. TWO MAIN PHILANTHROPY EFFORTS Our first initiative was a joint effort with Eta Tau Chapter (WPI) to clean up Malibu Beach near Dorchester, Massachusetts. Former Philanthropy Chairman Vishruth Konakanchi '26 spearheaded the event, planning and communicating with the city to ensure ample involvement from both Chapters and to receive approval for the initiative. Our second initiative was our annual ornament sale on campus to raise money for the Boston Area Rape Crisis Center. Again led by Vishruth, the event involved the entire Chapter in designing, cutting, publicizing, and finally selling the ornaments. In total, Brothers raised $135. ACADEMIC SUCCESS AND CHAPTER EVENTS Beta Upsilon has always prided itself on academic excellence. Brothers achieved a GPA of 4.75, 0.25 points higher than the IFC's 4.5. Beyond the classroom, Brothers enjoyed events like the German house mixer, Tri Delta's Casino Night mixer, and a recent Chapter retreat where members enjoyed late-night board games and hiking, including up the mountain to watch the sunrise. Brothers look forward to the upcoming Chapter formal and our 110th anniversary celebration. CAMPUS INVOLVEMENT Our members are staying engaged with various organizations on campus, from Alex Meier '26 as president of Rocket Team to Colin Clark '26 working with the Association of Student Activity, the Student Information Processing Board, and the Association of Independent Living Groups. Other members are involved with the Tech Catholic Community, Sloan Business Club, Combat Robotics Club, HSSP/Spark, Reformed University Fellowship, Cru, ESP, and The Tech.
