The Crescent page 2 GIVING BACK Delta Mu always looks forward to the annual 15K in a Day event where we raise $15,000 for St. Jude in just 24 hours. This year, we raised $41,000! The day was filled with fun activities, including a pie-in-the-face event and dunk booth. Another favorite philanthropic event is the Sincerely Yours letter-writing campaign. Members enjoyed a movie night at the house while working on their letters. We were very excited to have raised a total of $70,000 for St. Jude through this event. PEARL + PANSY MENTORSHIP This year, Delta Mu launched a new mentorship program for new members and alumnae. At the beginning of the year, each new member was matched with an alumna according to their career interests. The new members have enjoyed in-person or virtual get-togethers and creating long-lasting relationships with alumnae members from all over the country in their chosen career fields. TRI DELTA CAREER FAIR At another new event implemented this year, alumnae of various careers were invited to come to the house to network with active members and share professional insights. Our members were thrilled to meet alumnae and make professional connections for after college! GROWING CLOSER While we have been staying busy with our studies and schoolwork, we make room for some fun with our sisters. This year has been filled with all kinds of fun events, including a haunted house adventure, gingerbread house building, Galentine's dinner, a movie night on the patio, and Field Day. We always look forward to spending time with our best friends! CAMPUS INVOLVEMENT Our members make quite a splash on campus! Olivia Frazier '21 was recently elected as SGA executive vice president, and Liza Thompson '23 and Gigi Jarres '22 were both elected as SGA senators for their colleges. Julia Deters '20, a senior apparel and textile design student, was featured in the Fashion for Life show earlier this year, and several Delta Mu members modeled for the show.
