Welcome, New Members Alpha Delta Alumnae Make Huge Impacts When United "In a place where I didn't know anyone well at all, Phi Mu felt familiar—like an answered prayer," Lindsey Dunn Ware '14 said. Lindsey's favorite Phi Mu memories come from living in the house, whether she was throwing chip and dip parties after nights out on the town ("You had to have a password, 'queso,' to get in"), or she and her sisters were spending early mornings in the dining room studying or preparing for the day. The impact Phi Mu has had on Lindsey's life has been immeasurable. "The experiences I got through Alpha Delta have served me in ways I could have never imagined." Alpha Delta gave Lindsey so much—from lifelong friendships to professional opportunities. "At the core of all those things is the foundation that the Alpha Delta women before me laid. My hope is that by supporting Alpha Delta and the capital campaign, I can continue to strengthen that foundation for my collegiate sisters." When Lindsey learned about the Sisterhood Begins at Home campaign, she didn't think she could make a large impact with what she could give. Realizing that's how many of her sisters probably also felt as young professionals, Lindsey initially rallied more than 30 of them and more and more donated as word spread and the fund was advertised on social media. "Understanding that collectively, Alpha Delta alumnae have historically made huge impacts and can continue to make huge impacts when we are united for a common cause, I decided to start a campaign to honor one person, who I knew beyond a shadow of a doubt, my sisters could rally around, and that was Mr. Willie." Longtime staff member Mr. Willie has had a huge impact at Alpha Delta. "I was thinking about what makes Mr. Willie so special and the character that he embodies for there to be so many people who love and adore him, and I realized it's because he was and is always a positive, warm light at the Phi Mu house," Lindsey shared. "There is never a time you caught him having a bad day or not prepared to hit you with a smile and hug." In her career, Lindsey is an audit and assurance senior at Deloitte, which has been challenging in the best ways. Though she did not plan to be an accountant when beginning at Ole Miss, she found herself where she needed to be and attributes her success to both the Patterson School of Accounting (for providing her the knowledge and foundation she would need for her career) and Phi Mu (for giving her opportunities to finetune her leadership skills to best serve her team and clients). Lindsey's parents taught her the value of hard work, and their hard work and dedication to Lindsey and her siblings' education helped them fully embrace their college experiences. Lindsey married her husband in December 2021. They welcomed their first baby in December 2022 and are expecting their second in September 2024. They enjoy spending fall Saturdays in the Vaught and spring in Swayze's left field. Lindsey's favorite hobbies include cooking, baking, and entertaining her friends and family. It's not always easy and it requires judgment, but I am learning that the more I fully lean into the things I say yes to, the more plentiful the harvest."
