SIGMA PHI EPSILON | PAGE 4 O ur home at 375 College Avenue should provide a safe and welcoming place for our brothers to live and flourish. For this and the continued success of Maine Alpha, we must make a significant investment in our property. Over the last few years, the AVC has been planning to address the ongoing deferred repairs, maintenance and improvements. Now we need support from alumni like you to turn our old house into a modern residential learning community. A BALANCED HOME FOR BALANCED MEN PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS • Conference room that promotes collaboration by allowing alumni to assist remotely, members to host study sessions, chapter leaders to plan, hold executive meetings and more. • Re-imagining the library into an innovative classroom or leadership lab that is capable of hosting University accredited classes and inspires creativity and collaboration among brothers, the university and alumni. • All new exterior windows and doors bringing more light into the building, improving the curb appeal and security of the facility. • Remodeled and easy-to-clean modern kitchen and bathroom spaces. • Updated exterior sidings and walls that are modern and better insulated for cold Maine winters. • Refreshed landscaping and exterior spaces to gather for chapter and alumni events. OUR PLAN FOR THE NEXT FIFTY YEARS OF SUCCESS • Address all deferred maintenance throughout the interior and exterior of the facility with quality materials. • Create innovative and collaborative leadership and educational spaces that are built for the future of learning and collaboration with modern technology. • Modernize the mechanical, electrical, plumbing, Internet and fire safety systems for sustainable use going forward. • Completely renovate the kitchen and bathrooms to be easy-to-clean. • Create a leadership and scholarship endowment that will ensure the Maine Alpha AVC can fund the chapter's involvement in all SigEp and UMaine leadership events in perpetiuty.
