S ince she was young, Morgan Wenger '05 has always shared her mother's fascination with unique stores. Her mother had a dream of owning a small downtown shop in their hometown of Sabetha, Kansas. Inspired by that dream, Morgan and the Wenger family opened Pink Antlers in Leawood, Kansas, in 2016. Strength in Sisterhood "I was always 'Erica's little sister,'" Morgan said. Despite planning on forming her own path at Kansas State, Morgan found a place to belong in the Kappa Alpha Chapter just like her big sister, Erica (Wenger) Kellenberger '04. Morgan developed an immense pride through philanthropy involvement and genuine connections with Chi Omega sisters. Alongside the family connection, Morgan and Erica have maintained several Chi O friendships through social media and yearly trips to Manhattan for football games. Keeping the Family Close After graduation, Morgan started a party decor Etsy shop while working for a nonprofit in Connecticut. When she moved near Erica in Kansas City in 2013, Morgan began making plans for a physical storefront. While Morgan led the way for the business idea, Erica and her two children helped with unboxing and setting up shop. Pink Antlers was ready for business thanks to additional support from their younger sister, Claire. "Claire had recently graduated from KSU and was also teaching in Kansas City. Shortly after we opened, Claire left her job to work at the shop full-time." Currently, Morgan and Claire lead Pink Antlers' day-to-day operations while Erica and their mother are partial owners. Though small business ownership is not without its challenges, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic, the Wenger family is proud of their progress with Pink Antlers. "Doing it together as a family has been a blessing!"
