Another Wonderful
Summer Retreat
L
ast July, we took a much-needed break from our summer jobs and internships for a weekend getaway
in Bridgewater, Vermont. We all headed out after work ready to pack our Airbnb, just in time for
heavy rain and a flash flood warning. Turned out to be a blessing in disguise, as we spent the night
inside dealing cards, playing poker, and swapping stories with the boys.
e next morning, we woke up to an open sky and 85-degree weather, perfect for a day outside. We
hit up a swimming spot close by for cliff jumping and rope swinging. Brothers had a blast flipping into
the waters below, while the more "nature-connected" men spent the day enjoying the sun and floating
down the river on inner tubes.
Back at the house, we fired up the grill for burgers and dogs, adding a side of cornhole and die to the
mix. e day rolled on and a few Brothers decided to hike up Killington Ski Mountain. At the top, we
were able to look out at the sunset and take in the Vermont view. We headed down the mountain ready
to enjoy one last night before packing in the morning.
Summer Retreat is one of our favorite annual
events. After almost two months since school
ended, this was the first time all summer we
got a chance to reconnect. e retreat isn't only
about having fun with the guys, it is a reminder
of what makes us a united, unstoppable
fraternity.

FOOS RALLY
'23 RECAP
T
he eighth annual Foos Rally was
held on July 29 at the remarkable
residence of Ernie Cormier '81 in
Norwell, Massachusetts. Several alumni
and significant others attended this great
traditional summer gathering and eta
Chi social event. e event attracted
Brothers from across the generations, many
of whom enjoyed some quality time on the
Foos table. A great feast accompanied the
event as well as some mature refreshments
and single malt libations.
e Foos ran late into the night—and the
extended partying even later. It was yet
another memorable event among friends
and Brothers and certainly not the last.
anks so much to Ernie and Jan for
graciously hosting. Can't wait for next year!
May the Foos be with you!
