8 www.DesertMessenger.com February 21, 2024 Food Bank updates Meet Roberto Salas, our new Man- aging Director. Roberto has volun- teered with the food bank for two years. "Thank you for this opportunity. I have always been involved with vol- unteer organizations. I attribute this strong belief in volunteerism to my mother, who set an amazing exam- ple in our family. I look forward to serving our community in this new capacity, and encourage everyone to volunteer and get involved in making a difference in the lives of others." Victor will be missed at the food bank. Thank you to all who have been do- ing fundraisers for the Quartzsite Food Bank. It takes a community! Your donation makes a difference. We are a privately owned nonprofi t and must raise all the funds we need to operate. When donating to FQFB, you have helped to build and nurture this community through the chal- lenging times people have had. If you cannot donate money to us right now, did you know you can gift the food bank a car or RV? You can also leave the food bank a gift of money, real estate, or other items in your will, a Benefi ciary Deed, or even designate retirement IRA accounts or stock investments to the Friends of the Quartzsite Food Bank. Or sim- ply leave FQFB as your benefi ciary on your bank account. You can also have a Legacy Page on our website QuartzsiteFoodBank.com. POI SPINNING OR SOS - DP N & h !
