One of the most beautiful view- points on Kofa National Wildlife Refuge also happens to be the home of a unique population of native Arizona palm trees. Join our guided hike for a close-up look at the palm trees and possible sightings of des- ert bighorn sheep. Registration is not required but is helpful in the event of cancellation due to desert conditions. The hike is rated MODERATE. Approx. 1 mile roundtrip with an elevation gain of roughly 300 feet. Sturdy hiking shoes or athletic shoes are recommended, trekking poles or walking sticks are encour- aged. Bring your sunscreen, a hat & water. Don't forget your binoculars. Remember there are no facilities on Kofa NWR so please be prepared to carry out trash. Take Highway 95 to mile marker 85, then follow Palm Canyon Road 7 miles to its end at the mouth of the canyon, bearing right at the Kofa entry kiosk.
